8. Error Codes

The following error codes appear in the message window of the Ultramark.

Error Message Probable Cause Recommended Solution

Memory(SRAM)

An empty battery. Contact Bio-Rad.

ROM replaced. Not a problem.

SRAM chip trouble. Contact Bio-Rad.

Memory(DRAM)

DRAM chip trouble. Contact Bio-Rad.

Plate Carrier

Dirty guide shaft, or something

blocking the guide shaft.

Confirm that there is nothing blocking

the guide shaft, then clean the shaft

and put some grease on it.

Motor drive damaged. Contact Bio-Rad.

Photo sensor damaged. Contact Bio-Rad.

X Axis

Dirty guide rail , or something

blocking the rail.

Confirm that there is nothing blocking

the guide rail, then clean the rail and

put grease on it.

Motor drive damaged. Contact Bio-Rad.

Photo sensor damaged. Contact Bio-Rad.

Y Axis

Dirty guide rail , or something

blocking the rail.

Confirm that there is nothing blocking

the guide rail, then clean the rail and

put grease on it.

Motor drive damaged. Contact Bio-Rad.

Photo sensor damaged. Contact Bio-Rad.

Filter Miss

Incomplete installation of filters

in the magazine.

Install filters correctly into the

magazine.
