Conductivity Monitor
Symptom Possible Cause Possible Solution
Conductivity values are
higher or lower than
expected.
The conductivity monitor might
need calibration.
Recalibrate the conductivity
monitor. In ChromLab, select
Tools > Calibrate > Conductivity
Monitor. Complete the
calibration steps in the dialog
box.
Note: The relationship
between the conductivity
reading and salt
concentration is not linear.
The curve will flatten out at
higher salt concentrations.
Gradient conductivity
trace is distorted.
The mixer capacity is incorrect. See Table 2, Flow rates of
supported mixer barrels for the
F10 pumps, on page 63 for
information about mixer barrel
sizes.
